The F-Open Class was originally created by George Farquharson, a Canadian shooter.  Dubbed the "F-Class" after Farquharson's last name, the F-Class competitions were first crafted as an alternative for older shooters who lacked the physical ability that is required to continue shooting in conventional prone rifle competitions using a sling.  Over time F-Class has gained popularity and is no longer considered a substitute for Conventional Highpower.

Above is a BAT Action 284 Winchester in a Lowboy™ F-Open Stock with a Nightforce
12-42 BR Scope, Brux 32″ Straight Barrel and a Jewel Trigger.

Above is a beautiful custom rifle chambered in 6-6.5×47. The customer intends on using this rifle in Mid-Range F-Class competitions in the area. The custom rifle features a Kelbly Panda right bolt dual port action with a Jewel trigger, a Lowboy™ F-Open stock with an adjustable cheek piece and butt pad, a 1.25″ Brux straight contour barrel, and a Nightforce 12-42x BR scope set on the integrated 20 MOA rail.

In initial testing with this custom rifle, the owner is shooting .15 inch 5 shot groups at 100 yards consistently. The accuracy combined with the higher BC of the 115 grain bullets is intended to provide as much advantage as possible to the shooter in bad wind conditions.
